By downloading, accessing, or using the PanelMates mobile application or website ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

PanelMates is a technical assistant designed to help technicians troubleshoot equipment, access governed technical knowledge, document field work, and improve productivity. The Service is intended as a professional reference tool and does not replace proper training, manufacturer documentation, applicable codes, or professional judgment.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any login credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: Use the Service for unlawful purposes. Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the Service. Upload malicious software or harmful content. Violate applicable laws or regulations. Share copyrighted materials without authorization.

PanelMates provides technical guidance based on governed knowledge sources and user-provided information. While we strive for accuracy, information may not always reflect the latest manufacturer revisions, local codes, or site-specific conditions. You remain solely responsible for verifying all recommendations before performing work.

6. No Professional or Engineering Advice

Information provided through PanelMates is offered for informational purposes only. The Service does not provide engineering, legal, life-safety certification, or professional consulting services. Always follow manufacturer documentation, applicable codes, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any photos, notes, questions, or other content you submit. By submitting content, you grant FieldMates a limited license to use that content to operate, improve, and maintain the Service. Where practical, personally identifiable information is removed before content is used to improve our knowledge systems.

8. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, graphics, documentation, and content provided by PanelMates remain the property of FieldMates or its licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, or create derivative works without written permission.

9. Subscription Services

Certain features may require a paid subscription. Subscription pricing, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are managed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store and are subject to their respective policies.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep PanelMates available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change, be updated, suspended, or discontinued without prior notice.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." FieldMates makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or availability of the Service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FieldMates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Service. Users assume full responsibility for decisions made using information provided by PanelMates.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FieldMates from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
